The opportunity to lead the aesthetic as sole designer for a small company with pattern making and sample sewing in house got me involved in many aspects of the business. The brand is rooted in “Mission Capable” highly durable product that is Made in the USA. This enabled me to work with local factories and oversee the arrival of bulk materials, review preproduction protos and edit markers. I also sourced raw materials from local small batch suppliers sourcing denim, and mainly Nylon Cotton and Nylon Merino blends. My design work spanned men’s and women’s apparel and accessories as well as trims and labelling. I launched their first and only denim pant as well as women’s apparel line. As the only designer, I also built the color palette that remains to this day. The focus of my designs and material choices was to provide durable reinforcements, field repairability, concealed carry solutions, amphibious features and a refined approach to antistink and breathability.
